Paint protection film in Kansas City

A clear, self-healing shield over your factory paint that takes the rock chips, salt, and highway grit so your paint stays flawless. Hand-installed by the owners, backed by a real manufacturer warranty.

Paint protection film — you'll also hear it called PPF or a clear bra — is a thin, optically clear urethane layer applied over your car's painted surfaces. It absorbs the impacts that would otherwise chip and scratch your paint: gravel off a truck on I-435, salt and sand through a Kansas City winter, bug acid in the summer, and the general grit of daily driving. Premium film is also self-healing, so light swirls and wash marks disappear with a little heat from the sun or warm water.

Here's the honest version most shops won't tell you: film is only as good as the install. Cheap PPF fails at the edges — you get lifting, peeling, and visible dirt lines within months. We wrap and seal every edge by hand, which is slower and it's exactly why our finished cars still look untouched years later.

How we install it

Four stages, no rushing. This is where the finish quality is won or lost.

1

Decon & prep

We wash, clay, and decontaminate every surface so nothing gets trapped under the film.

2

Precision cut

Patterns are digitally plotted to your exact make and model for a factory-tight fit.

3

Hand install

Film is laid, squeegeed, and every edge is wrapped and tucked by hand — the part that matters most.

4

Cure & inspect

We let it set, then inspect under bright light for perfect edge seal before you ever see it.

Why our PPF holds up

We don't cut the corners that make film fail. That means proper decontamination, patterns cut for your specific vehicle, and edges finished by hand instead of left to peel.

  • Owner-installed. The people who own the shop are the people on your car.
  • Warranty-backed film only. No no-name material that yellows in a year.
  • Itemized pricing. Film and labor listed separately, quoted before we start.
  • Pairs with ceramic coating for added slickness and easy washing.

PPF questions, answered

Can you see the film once it's on?+
On a proper install, no. Modern film is optically clear and the edges are wrapped so there's no visible line. If you can spot cheap PPF from across the lot, that's an install problem, not the product.
Does PPF yellow over time?+
Old film did. Quality film today has UV-stable top coats that resist yellowing for the life of the warranty — one more reason we only install film backed by a real manufacturer.
How do I wash a car with PPF?+
Normally. Wait about a week after install, then wash as usual. Skip harsh solvents and pressure-washing directly into the edges up close, and you're set.
PPF or ceramic coating — which do I need?+
Different jobs. PPF is physical armor against chips and scratches. Ceramic is a slick, glossy layer that makes washing easier but won't stop a rock. For full protection, film first, ceramic on top.
How long does the install take?+
A partial front is often a same-day job; a full front is typically a day; full-body coverage takes several days. We'll give you a real timeline with your quote.
